Frank Costello heads the National Acceleration Center at Piney Orchard. The acceleration and training center serves the NHDP as the premier off-ice training facility.
An Expert in the area of physical training and development, Frank has been training athletes for over 35 years. Former Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Washington Capitals AND the University of Maryland Athletic Department, Frank has distinguished himself as one of the top strength and conditioning coaches in the country. |

A FIVE-TIME NCAA All-American, Frank who also served as the US National Track and Field Coach, was named 2-time NCAA Track Coach of the Year, and is in the University of MD’s Hall of Fame . If that’s not enough Frank Costello was the architect for the NHL’s “ combine” -- the test used by the NHL to help determine and predict an athletes potential. Frank’s credentials are unsurpassed as he stands alone in the area of physical development. and has helped many of our NH participants work toward their dream.
Network Hockey is pleased to provide Frank’s Training facility as an essential part of the Development Program. Frank’s facility is located inside the Piney Orchard Arena allowing the participants to fully integrate their off-ice training program with their specific on ice needs to achieve peak hockey performance. |
